About me

I was born and raised in Redwood City and now reside in San Carlos. I represent the flavor of the Bay Area. I am a fan of the organic artist - the one who creates to create - without choice or directions. They have existed in every society from the beginning of time and will exist until the end of time. It is in their arena that I choose to throw my hat. I will always paint and create without choice or directions.

So follow me and see what I come up with along the way.

About my Art

The present form my art has taken is moveable magnetic wooden tiles that have been epoxy resin finished. When pieced together on a framed sheet of metal the tiles form the image I have painted. The paintings extend to the "viewer/participant/artist/you" the option to play with the image by mixing up the pieces in any way one sees fit or is inspired to do. The frame also comes into play creating the option for a vertical or horizontal image depending on how you decide to hang the frame.

This idea of changeable art expresses the knowledge I find most valuable in life; the knowledge of one’s own ability to change and the empowerment that coexists with the choice to change. Be it changing your mind, your habits or even your entire point of view....whatever the case may be, the ability to change course and the willingness it takes to change naturally engenders an optimistic perspective on the future.  It increases the awareness that at any moment an old perspective can end and a fresh new perspective can begin. In an instant the whole world can change.

A vital and useful tool for change comes from being inspired by fellow humans. People can act as conduits for transformational change through their own decision to change, and that is where you come in. Play with the art, change the art and try to open my eyes to what you find in my own art by making it yours.

Have fun with the idea that change is possible and that Change is Good.
